💀 The internet’s DEADLIEST newsletter: Biz, Building, and Lols by Andrew

"#1 Newsletter of the Year" 🏆️ -Andy’s Wife

Good morning to everyone who had Hot Cheeto fingers as a kid 🔥

😱 ANDY REACTS

Amgios, have you heard the big news? It's that time of year again!

The Super Bowl is coming up this Sunday, and I have to say, I'm pretty excited. Not because I'm a huge fan of football, but because I'm a huge fan of the commercials. You know, the real reason we all watch the Super Bowl.

I mean, let's be real, who needs the actual game when you can watch a two-minute ad for a new car and feel like you've just witnessed the future? And don't even get me started on the halftime show. I'm not saying the Super Bowl is just a really long commercial, but it's not NOT a really long commercial.

But here's the thing, as a tech person, I can't help but think about all the tech that goes into making the Super Bowl happen. I mean, have you seen the high-tech stadiums these days? It's like we're watching the game in a spaceship! And let's not forget about the instant replay technology, or the drones flying over the field.

So, this Sunday, let's sit back, grab some nachos, and enjoy the show. The show that brought us together, the show that brings us the latest and greatest in technology, and the show that reminds us why we love nachos. I mean, come on, who doesn't love nachos?

Here's how to tell a great story.

The 7-sentence Story Stucture (used by Disney):

"The most powerful person is the storyteller" -Steve Jobs

I never understood why.

Until..

I joined improv comedy.

4 years of improv later, I learned storytelling is the key to unlocking growth in:

• Writing

• Business

• Relationships

Here's the 7-sentence breakdown:

1/ Once upon a time ____

This sentence is the INTRODUCTION.

It should introduce the setting and main character(s) of the story.

And...

Provide any necessary background information.

It should also establish the tone and mood of the story.

2/ And every day ____

This is the RISING ACTION.

The rising action presents the conflict or problem that the character(s) must face.

This sentence should introduce the stakes of the story.

And set the character(s) on their journey to resolve the conflict.

3/ Until one day ____

This is the CLIMAX.

The climax is the point of highest tension or drama in the story.

It is the turning point that determines the outcome of the conflict.

This sentence should describe the event or decision that drives the story toward its resolution.

4/ Because of this ____

This is the FALLING ACTION.

It consists of the events that follow the climax and lead to the resolution of the conflict.

This sentence should describe the character(s)' efforts to resolve the conflict and the challenges they face along the way.

5/ Because of that ____

The RESOLUTION.

This is the end of the story, where the conflict is resolved and the character(s) achieve their goal(s).

This should describe the final outcome of the story...

And how the character(s) have changed as a result of their experiences.

6/ Until finally ____

This is the CONCLUSION.

The conclusion is a summary of the events of the story and the lessons learned by the character(s).

This sentence should reflect on the significance of the story and its themes.

7/ And ever since that day ____

The closing is a final thought or reflection on the story.

This sentence can be used to tie up any loose ends or provide a final:

• Lesson

• Takeaway

• Or epiphany

for the reader.

Now just fill in the blanks:

Once upon a time _____

And every day _____

Until one day _____

Because of this _____

Because of that _____

Until finally _____

And ever since that day _____
