I've sent 214K emails in the past 10 months.My average open rate is 53.20%.Here's my subject line strategy:Make sure every subject line answers these 3 questions:1. What is this about?• Personal branding• Building online• Software sales2. Who is this for?• Sellers in their 20s• Software sellers• Entrepreneurs3. Why should they open?(i.e. what are the benefits of them opening)• Decrease their risk?• Decrease their risk?• Decrease their costs?
How will it make their life better (which usually falls into the above 3 buckets)
1,2, and 3 help you sell the open.People are selfish...How will opening the email help them.These 3 questions will help you form a subject line that works.Ignore the hand-wavvy advice to "keep subject lines short" or "use emojiis".
