π Wave #19: Document, Don't Create
By Andrew Mewborn
Hey - you look great today.
Mickey Dβs is launching a plant-based burger - itβs called the McPlant.
Some are saying TikTok will surpass 1 billion users in 2021. Iβve made 1 so far.
Now, time to paddle out π
π SET #1
Document, don't create.
Read 127 words below.
Friend: "Andrew, how do you come up with so many ideas to write about?"
Me: "I take what I see throughout the day and add my perspective"
Friend: "Ok."
Me: "None of my ideas are original. I take what would provide value to my audience and add color"
Friend: "So you just copy..."
Me: "No. I think about it like documenting, not creating. Throughout the day, I document ideas that pop up in my head"
The Takeaway: Document, don't create.
This shift in mindset will help you create content for your LinkedIn. Blog post. Or any content.
GaryVee is a big proponent of this and pretty sure I learned this mindset shift from him.
Hope this helps in your journey of building content for your personal brand :)

Here's what wins in sales engagement
Read 74 words below.
On average I speak to ~2 or 3 companies per day about their Outbound strategy.
Those that win: Use Speed + creativity
Those that need help: No speed + No creativity
Those that do Outbound well, test new Outbound strategies quickly. They A/B testing their messaging consistently. They use creativity in their approach. They learn fast. But fail even faster.
TL;DR - You'll see the best companies running their Outbound strategy like a performance agency.
π SET #3
Use your customer nuggets in Outbound messaging
Read 116 words below.
You are in a meeting with your prospect.
They describe your product as "Jedi tactics for B2B sales".
+ Take that nugget and put it into your Outbound messaging.
You could go through gong/chorus and find so many nuggets like this!
This is a perfect way to build out any new Outbound campaigns.
And to make it easy on you, here's how to build an arsenal of nuggets:
1. Create a slack channel called #customer_nuggets
2. Anytime you heard, read, or see a nugget but it in the slack channel
3. Thank me later
PS - Not really sure why I used the term "Nuggets" but if you have a better word for it let me know π
