😱 ANDY REACTS

Amigos, have you heard about the latest news from the House of Mouse?

Bob Iger, the big cheese at Disney, just announced plans to restructure the company. I don't know about you, but when I hear the word 'restructure', I think of my childhood toys. You know, the ones that you put together, take apart, and put together again just because you can? That's what's happening at Disney, they're just putting their toys back together in a different way.

But let's be real, Disney has always been the master of re-purposing. They took a classic fairy tale, put it in a blender, and now we have a whole franchise based on a certain mouse and his friends. So, I wouldn't be surprised if, in this restructuring, we end up with a theme park ride where you can go on a journey through Bob Iger's brain and see how he came up with all these brilliant ideas.

And let's not forget, Disney has a magical touch. They turn dreams into reality and make us believe that we can fly on a broomstick or talk to animals. So, with this restructuring, who knows what they'll come up with next. Maybe they'll finally make my childhood dream come true and make a real-life version of The Little Mermaid's underwater kingdom.

But, in all seriousness, restructuring can be a good thing. It can streamline operations, increase efficiency, and create new opportunities for growth. So, I'm excited to see what the future holds for Disney and what new wonders they'll bring us. And if it all goes south, at least we'll always have the memories of our favorite childhood movies to look back on.

💀 Issue #81 💀

Give me 27 seconds, and I'll teach you 5 dead-simple ways to come up with your next business idea:

1. Build for yourself

What problem drives you nuts?

Maybe it's related to:

• Software

• Fitness

• Home goods

If you have that problem chances are 1,000,000+ other people do too.

TIP:

→ For 1 week, take 5 minutes each day to write down what problems frustrated you.

2. Take an existing product and make it 20% better

Most tools today aren't anything new.

They take an old tool and make it better:

• Take old-school software and move to the cloud

• Modernize an old-school business

Example:

→ Figma. Photoshop for the cloud.

3. Turn something that takes 10 steps into 1 step

Make a process more efficient.

Imagine people are using 10 tools to complete 1 task.

How can you consolidate those 10 tools into 1 tool?

Imagine if you have 10 tabs open to complete 1 task.

How can you consolidate into 1 tab?

4. Democratize what the 1% have for the 99%

Classic example: Uber.

Only the 1% were able to order cards to their door.

Not after Uber.

Another example: Airbnb.

Only the 1% were able to book an entire vacation home.

Not after Airbnb.

What can you democratize for the 99%?

5. Create an identical product for a new market

Notice hot products that would do well in other markets?

Examples:

• MorningBrew newsletter for X

• Airbnb for X

• Uber for X

Most of the time there are business characteristics you can imitate, then innovate on.

That's a wrap!

1. Build for yourself

2. Take an existing product and make it 20% better

3. Turn something that takes 10 steps into 1 step

4. Democratize what the 1% have for the 99%

5. Create an identical product for a new market

And the most important part -

Get started.
