Modelo's Golden Moment: Dethrones Bud Light and Brews Up a Storm!
Grab a cold one and pull up a chair because we've got some brewing news!
Pour one out for our old friend, Bud Light. After reigning supreme for over two decades, the king has been dethroned.
Move over, blue can! There's a new brewski boss in town and it's all wrapped up in gold foil... the illustrious Modelo Especial!
This shift in the beer world is like swapping your reliable old sales pitch for a shiny new one... and finding out it works!
American drinkers have been getting a taste for Mexican import beers, and let's not forget wines, spirits, and hard seltzers.
Ahh, the days when choosing a drink was as simple as light or regular... Now it's more like a game of "eeny, meeny, miny, moe".
Modelo, that crisp Mexican lager, was already chomping at the Bud, set to take over as early as next year.
But then, Bud Light's partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney sparked a boycott, and things sped up faster than a thirsty patron at happy hour!
So, here's the takeaway, GTM gurus...
In the world of sales and marketing, it's important to stay on top of changing consumer tastes.
And remember, today's king can easily be tomorrow's court jester!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to update my beer preferences...
Until next time, folks! Remember, keep your pitches frosty and your deals flowing!

It feels scary to create content for 2+ years.
It feels daunting to create content for 2+ years. You won’t see much growth, or many opportunities, in the early stages.
You’ll have to get over the fear of judgment from friends, family, and strangers on the internet.
You’ll have to figure out what you’re going to talk about, and why anyone would care what you’ve got to say.
You’ll need to learn about writing frameworks, writing headlines, creating new ideas, formatting, and continuing when no one is reading.
You’ll worry that you’re going to run out of ideas.
You’ll be constantly thinking about the LinkedIn algorithm, while simultaneously trying not to think about the LinkedIn algorithm.
You’ll end up getting tons of DMs from other people, figuring out which opportunities you should be going after.
This is hard.
It takes a lot of work.
But it’s also really fun, and if you can make it work, it’s genuinely life-changing.

The Brand30 community is a 30-day live cohort-based course where I’ll teach you everything I know about how to build and grow your LinkedIn into a sustainable machine that churns out valuable content for your audience and generates healthy opportunities for you, without having to quit your job.

The Art of the Punch – A Marketing 101 Lesson
We all love a good punch, don't we?
Nah, not the fruity, bowl kind, or the kind that leaves a shiner (we're not advocating violence here, folks).
I'm talking about PUNCHING UP in the marketing ring!
You see, here's the GOLDEN RULE of the marketing game: To gain respect, PUNCH UP. To lose it? PUNCH DOWN.
It's that simple.
Don't believe me?
Let me break it down for you.
Punching Up: This is all about challenging those above you. Call out bigger brands, more famous people. Make some noise, shake things up. That's how you get noticed. That's how you earn respect.
Punching Down: Now this, my friends, is a big no-no. It's just being a bully. And no one likes a bully. If you start throwing punches at smaller brands or less popular folks, you'll lose respect faster than a house of cards in a hurricane.
This is a lesson straight out of Marketing 101.
So, next time you plan to call someone out...whether that's a brand, person, or ANYTHING...Remember this lesson.
Pick your punches wisely, folks. Your brand's respect is at stake.
And remember, as in boxing, so in marketing: It's not just about throwing punches; it's about landing them where they count.
Stay punchy, Andy
P.S.: The takeaway here? Always respect your weight class. Sure, aim high, punch up, but never forget where you come from. Humility and ambition can coexist, and they make a killer combo in the marketing world!
